Actual: Moscow WTC: Life Goes On

For several weeks, our country and the whole world have been actively fighting the spread of the coronavirus infection (COVID-19). This epidemic has become a serious challenge for all of us.

For more than 40 years, our absolute priority has been customer focus, health and safety of our tenants, partners, guests, and employees. Carefully following all the recommendations of the government of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Mayor's office, the Federal World Trade Center Moscow has taken all necessary organizational measures to strengthen the regime of sanitary-epidemiological activities to make the complex and all its facilities the safest place to stay.

Despite the fact that the vast majority of employees of the Moscow World Trade Center, in accordance with recommendations and instructions, have now switched to remote operation, life does not stop at the World Trade Center. The team continues to work and provides all the necessary services to tenants, clients, guests and partners.

According to the decree of Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin, a number of planned events were cancelled or postponed to a later date this year, and public catering outlets are closed to visitors until the end of April of this year.

In this regard, the staff of the Moscow Convention Center is working remotely and is accepting applications for holding Congress and Banquet events in the second half of 2020 and in 2021. Organizational work on the preparation and implementation of events is also still in full swing. All relevant departments of the Moscow WTC continue their work and are in close contact with their co-organizers and partners.

Director of the WTC Congress Center, Darya Salamatova, stated: "At the moment, the event is in operation, starting from the second half of June and until the end of the year. The year 2021 is also gradually being filled in with bookings. We are in close contact with our clients and are conducting surveys. Now an interesting trend is being observed. Some of the requests received are for organizing events with video conferences, i.e. offline and online at the same time. I think this is a consequence of the current situation. In the near future, this will become a standard service for us."

The Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC Hotel continues to operate as usual, following all recommendations and taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and health of guests.

Director of the Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC Hotel Sergey Tarasov stated: "Our hotel, as always, operates 24/7 in compliance with all international standards. High-quality cleaning is carried out every day, rooms and public areas are disinfected. Breakfast is delivered to your room, which makes your stay even more comfortable and safe. All staff undergo medical checks before the start of the working day. In addition, communication with the staff, if desired, can be completely minimized by communicating by phone or via online chat to order room service or other services."

For the convenience and safety of tenants of the Moscow World Trade Center and guests of the Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC and Holiday Inn Express Khovrino Hotels, food delivery is arranged directly to the room or office to minimize contacts and follow all recommendations.

Dmitri Vladimirovich Motorin, Director of the restaurant complex of the WTC stated: "All necessary preventive measures are being taken for the safety and protection of the health of guests and employees in order to ensure the operation of food facilities in a self-isolation complex: checking the health of employees, regular disinfection of surfaces, premises, special treatment of dishes and kitchen surfaces. Meals for employees on duty are provided in our canteen in compliance with the remote regulations introduced on the premises. For guests staying in the Crowne Plaza Moscow WTC, Breakfast is delivered to the room, room service and mini-bars are available. Holiday Inn Express Khovrino also offers in-room breakfast. Hot lunches are delivered to the offices for the WTC tenants."

There is also a remote sales Department of the WTC restaurant complex that receives and processes incoming requests, prepares summer and autumn events, banquets, and weddings.

The information service also continues to work actively in remote mode, collecting all the most interesting information that is published on the site, on the official pages in social networks, and on the Telegram channel of the Moscow World Trade Center.

By staying at home and taking the recommended preventive measures, each of us now contributes to the fact that the decisive measures taken in Russia and around the world to counteract the coronavirus infection will ensure that we return to normal life as soon as possible and resume working processes in full.
