Primakov Readings

The International Think Tank Summit Primakov Readings is an annual event that has become a discussion platform for economic, political and security issues at the international level.

In 2018, the Summit will be held on May the 29-30, and its key theme will be "Risks of unstable world order"

In different years, the current and former leaders of the world's major powers made statements here. Among them President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, former Italian Foreign Minister Lamberto Dini, former NATO Secretary General Javier Solana, former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

"The Summit is our common tribute to the memory of a great man, a politician and an academic, who headed the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation from December 2000 to March 2011. The Summit, in fact, became a kind of continuation of the "Mercury Club" created by Yevgeny Primakov at the Federal Chamber in 2002, - it was a unique discussion platform, president of which he remained until his death. There politicians, government officials, academics used to discuss the most acute development problems of the country and the world."

Primakov Readings is a joint project of Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations, World Trade Center Moscow, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Center for Foreign Policy Cooperation named after E.M. Primakov.

The Summit managed to gain prestige as a discussion platform for solving problems of international importance and significance. In the ranking of expert institutions published by the University of Pennsylvania (the 2017 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report) Primakov Readings ranked 7th best conference of the world.
